Ideal Set-Up for Sensors

The temperature and thermo-hygro sensors are "weather resistant", but not "water proof".

To ensure an extended life of your sensor, mount it in a semi-covered place out of the elements. An ideal location for the sensors is under the eaves.

Mount the sensor 18" down from the eaves to ensure optimum performance. This way the weather data collected by the sensor will not be affected by the temperature of the air coming out of the attic.

Suggested General Set-Up #1

An ideal location to mount your wind sensor is away from all obstacles that will block wind activity such as trees and houses. When mounting the sensor, make sure that it is a few feet above ground level.

If you choose to mount the wind sensor on your roof, please ensure that it is mounted at the highest point where wind activity will not be blocked.

Ideal Location for Rain Sensors

The location that you choose to mount the rain sensor should be a flat and level surface away from the eaves of a house or trees that may interfere with true rainfall.
